I never would have thought our kids would get that close to a dog without screaming, but here is the proof that my kids have overcome their fears. They love Gunner and even enjoy taking care of him.
Some friends clued us into this awesome fire pit that doesn't get hot on the outside. So, this year as soon as I saw the store was carrying them again I pounced on it. We have used it so much already and it never gets old with the kids.

They have so much fun together! People always comment on how my kids are actually friends and get along. It is true, but I'm not sure what we did, if anything, to get them to be like that. Family time is precious and building memories is worth the mess and s'mores are messy!
