Joy of Kids in the Car

Yesterday, after taking Mark's mom to the airport, Molli stated that she had to go to the bathroom. We weren't very close so Mark, being a good father, picked up the pace. She kept saying how bad she had to go so we knew it was urgent. Well, we were almost home when a police car coming the other way turned around to pull us over. Mark had been going 75 in a 60. When the officer came to the window Mark told him about Molli needing to go to the bathroom. He looked at the kids and told us to wait. When he came back he said, "I don't normally do this," and only gave Mark a warning. What a nice guy! He must have kids as well and knows how insistent they can be. So, thanks to the police officer for keeping our record clean.

I'm going to use that excuse next time I get pulled over.

I love it! That is so awesome! Don't you love it when police officers are understanding? It doesn't happen very often.

He must have took one look at poor Molli and realized the truth of the situation. Still pretty nice because sometimes those guys are just crabby and will write you one anyway.
